Vacations

Michelle and I will be off for several days as we head to the Thousand Islands Region of Alexandria Bay, New York. My son Adam, and his lovely fiancee, Raewyn, are getting married! YAY! Just like Adam and Raewyn, their wedding plans are truly unique, and we are looking forward to several days in a beautiful part of the country, lots of family time, an epic wedding, and at the end of the weekend, I'll have a new daughter-in-law. What could be better?

We will return next week with lots of photos and stories I'm sure!

Second, It is spring break time for us. Kimara and I will be taking a bit of time off from the blog as we enjoy some out of town company, get some spring cleaning done, and finish up a few odds and ends to get the store ready. We will be back after Easter, hopefully refreshed and ready to embark on a new phase in Wee Folk Art... aka the Market Place. In the meantime I've collected some of our Spring Projects to keep you busy.

Third, we will probably be turning our comments to moderate after today. It is hard enough to keep up with the spam while we are vigilantly online... impossible on vacation. My mom shared some pictures of her latest trip to visit the Little Lady so I needed to share some of ours. We went in the other direction. We just got back from our annual trip to Vermont (here are last year's pics). This is something we've been doing since I was 11 years old and it is so wonderful to share this experience with my children now. We have been going to the same place for so long, when we get there it feels like we've come home to this magical place where time seems to stand still. We love the boundless outdoor activities and are always on the go from dawn to dusk. We come back feeling both refreshed and exhausted. LOL.

 

 

The last of our children headed for home today, leaving Tim and I alone for the first time in almost 2 weeks. What a wonderful time we all had. And with the exception of a couple of broken glass Christmas ornaments, resulting from Bug's new bow and arrows, the house remains intact. (BTW... I would like to point out that Bug did not break the ornaments... his rowdy Uncles can take full credit for the destruction!)

So, here I sit, sorting through the Christmas photos, smiling at the mayhem, marveling at how tired I usually looked ;) but feeling extremely blessed. I am hopefully that everyone had a marvelous time with their loved ones.

I am taking the next couple of days to put the house back in order and do some serious snuggling with Tim. Michelle and I will be back on Monday, January 4, with lots of New Projects for the New Year!
