This looks wonderful! I could see this being an amazing tool to help with my little one's balance. There are so many different ways this can be used I'm sure I couldn't come up with half the ways it could be used.  My girls are always looking for things to challenge their imaginations and creatively re-purpose everyday items.  This would be a great addition!

Open Ended Creations, LLC originated in 2009 The name of our business is the foundation from which we stand. The use of our products and creations are in the Possibilities, Discovery and Dreams of the beholder. The child.
With five children in our family; we had our eyes re-opened when we were introduced and welcomed into the Waldorf community. Within this new discovery came a deeper understanding of the possibility and the inspiration to recreate our lives and provide a stronger, more balanced, and enriched environment for our children to play, create, and enjoy life’s simple treasures.

“More is less,” is a valuable saying. We are committed to creating and developing open-ended toys that enrich the lives of all children. We have been part of the Waldorf Community for over the past 8 years. During the time when our son was in Playgroup the teacher at the time was Mrs. Uschi. She had approached both of us and asked for our help in making a few rocker boards for her classroom. At the time there was no one that you could find that was making a wooden Rocker Board, a need was thus pointed out to us. With the love of creating and woodworking within us; a small seed was planted and thus began to sprout. Over time our initial board has evolved into what you now see today.

Curvy Boards! It’s a teeter-totter, balance beam, slide, boat, bridge, and… anything else your child can dream up. The unlimited range of possibilities is what makes Open Ended Toys the ideal learning tools/toys for the 21st century learning skills.

Each board is handmade and crafted from 9 layers of a maple hardwood, sanded smooth, stained, and finished with varnish. Making it durable and long lasting. Each board offers its unique design from nature; no two are alike. Choose from 3 finishes, Natural, Golden Oak and Walnut. The Curvy Board is handcrafted in the U.S.A.

Oh my! I see lots of fun with the curvy board for my grandson. I love the idea of open ended toys that make room for children to exercise their own inventive play   time. This looks like a great toy for developing balance and imagination!

I LOVE these boards! I can't honestly say how my (twin) girls would use one - their imagination is outrageous. No doubt it would be doing something together :)

The curvy board looks amazing. My son, Felix would love this. He doesn't have the best balance and with our PE program including yoga this board would be such a help to him. Learning balance and the ability to "surf" would put him over the moon :) Good luck everyone!!

I just asked my 4 yo son and 2 yo daughter what they would like to use the curvy board for:

- We can use it as a bridge to ride small cars on
- The train can ride underneath!
- I can play with my best friend on it
- I can use it as a step to watch and help you cook
- I can use it to climb in my cubby house

- My 2 yo commented whe would just like to sit on it ;)

My kids would love this! I can see them rocking away pretending they are sailing a ship, surfing, or riding a horse. I bet they would come up with many more ways to play with it than I can imagine.

My young boys would certainly use this as part of an obstacle course! Imagining it as a ship out in a horrible storm. They'd have to traverse through.

This looks like something my kids would play with every day. My girls would use it in some imaginative way. My son would be doing crazy stunts on this! Thanks for the giveaway.

My three year old LOVES rainbows and I'm sure she'd use the curvy board as a rainbow she could play on!

These are so beautiful, and look like so much fun!  I have two boys and I can guarantee this would at first be a train tunnel for the older one.  But it wouldn't be long before it became a horse taking folks for a ride in a cart.  My little guy would delight in climbing up on it and sliding down on his belly :D

I imagin my toddler would flip it so that it would be like a bridge then climb it. He's a climber :)

The Curvy Board looks very simple but very entertaining for kids, allowing them to use their imagination rather than electronics, etc. My grandchildren are only 16 months old, but last night, they were trying to stand and balance on the cover of their blocks box. I can see something like the Curvy Board being very entertaining for them.

I could see my son using this to "surf" or other imaginative play. As a stage for his animals or cars. As a bridge or baby cradle. There are so many possibilities!!  Thanks for this opportunity :)

What a fantastic idea! I would love to have this in my homschool. It would be GREAT for when one (of three) is done and needs something to do until the others are done; something that will occupy them and not be disruptive.I can see my boys pretending that they are either explorers or pirates. OH, the possibilities! Thanks for the  great giveaway!

I think my 4-year old twins would try to figure out how to rock on it together, since they love doing everything together. My 6-year old could work on his balance, since he inherited my clumsiness

My kids would adore this! I think they would use it in a variety of ways. I would just see my 3yo imagining it is a bridge or boat and other fun things.

My two boisterous boys would use it as a climber, a see saw, a balance board, a vehicle...it would definitely help see us through another snowy winter!

Not only would my kids at home love this but I also teach children's yoga and the possibilities are endless. Each session focuses on imagination and the many ways we can use our bodies to express ourselves! These would make for some silly fun but I'm sure we could also find a way to use them in our relaxation time.

This is not a first time I see this board. I read about it and I love it. We have a very limited space in our apartment and curvy board is a perfect fit - little open ended toy that may last for a long time. I have a very active little girl who loves to dance, jump, walk, climb - any type of movement. I am sure she will love this board.

I would love a curvy board for my children! I'm sure my daughters would practice their balance, but also for relaxing rocking and lots of imaginative play! Thanks for the generous giveaway!

What a wonderful giveaway.  These rocker boards look so fun and creative.  I could see my six year old pulling all kinds of stunts.

The curvy board, with its rhythm, would offer, the children I am working with, a feeling of being save, as well as offer them a opportunity to practice inner and outer balance. (I am an expressive arts therapist with a small practice, and some of the children I am working with struggle with the trauma they experienced very early on in their life)

These look like so much fun for younger kids (sigh, that excludes me) but I can see my brothers LOVING this.

Imagination Overload! My 7 grandchildren would each come up with their own unique way to play with this!

With my boys I imagine it would end up as a truck of some sort!

This would certainly be a wonderful pony for trick riding or a ship to sail on!

In our home I could see this toy being a pirate ship, a baby bed, a rocking horse, a hide away, and a troll bridge.  The possibilities are endless!

I see my kids using this for racing cars, teeter totering, and launching toys.  This would be so much fun!

I have to remember just a ridiculously active voice I see then probably doing crazy awesome things with this amazing looking product. The craftsmanship looks amazing and they will definitely test it's strength! ;)

From the time I knew I'd not have more babies of my own, I started thinking ahead to my future grandchildren. I've collected books and made baby blankets in preparation for a house full of grandchildren. As it turns out, I was blessed with my first granddaughter last year. I want my home to be a loving and fun place my grandchildren always look forward to visiting. I could stock up on typical toys purchased from my local department stores, but I'm more interesting in having a supply of quality toys for them to explore that will offer them different stimulation.

I saw this board a year ago and knew right away that it would be a wonderful investment. Not only is it different simply because it's a basic, curved wood piece, but it's made of wood that's been smoothed and become a gorgeous work of art. Any child would enjoy exploring the grain of the wood, the feel the finish, and the challenge of balancing. If I were little, this would be a favorite toy of mine.

I think my almost 4 year old would love that board! It could be a bridge for her trucks, a cradle, that she could use to rock her dolls to sleep. She could pretend it's a moon, sailboat, skateboard, turtle shell or even try to use it as a catapult for small balls!

I would love to win one!   We love open ended toys!!!

My wee one would love this himself for adventuresome play, plus I could see him using it sweetly to rock his new little sister when she arrives! I hope I win :)  Thank you for the chance.

My son is so creative, I'm sure he would come up with some very interesting ways to use this!  He would probably do something that would surprise me, so I won't even guess. He definitely has more fun with toys like this instead of crazy light up, noise making things.

My son has such an active imagination! I'm sure the uses are endless!!

I can only imagine how many ways my sons would use this! They look awesome! I'm thinking the first thing they would do, is use it as a pirate ship.

These are beautiful boards.  My three year old would LOVE this!

I have had the joy of seeing children play with these curvy boards. We have one in our Waldorf preschool class. I have seen the children use this board as a rocker, as a bed, as a bridge, as a slide (off the couch), the backdrop to a fairytale story etc. etc. you get the drift. The possibilities are endless. I would be overjoyed to have one in my own home for our growing family.

I'd love to see my 21 month old daughter learning to balance on this outside on our lawn, it looks like an amazing toy! She loves wood toys like these, so simple yet hours of fun.

I can see my children using this as a slide, a surf board, a train bridge, a car bridge, a doll cradle, part of a fort, a seesaw and a place to just sit and rock back and forth.  No doubt they would find several more uses though :)

My boys would stand, sit, slide, and ride on this awesome curvy board! Would me a wonderful addition to our homeschool!

These are so cool!

I'm sure my kids would use them in their "Ninja Warrior" training!!

Kids?! I would get one of these for ME! After my son sails the seven seas and my daughter lives out her dreams of being a rocking horse, I'd squirrel my curvy board away for some yoga and stretches. ;)

Love these in my kindergarten! I was thrilled to meet the maker this summer in my travels. All young children need these!

Love that you can do so much with this. My grandson would love it!!

I think this would be a toy that both my kids would enjoy together. I could see my 4 y/o playing/guiding my little waddler in the different uses. He loves to teach her new things.

Children love anything  can stand on! And if standing on it makes it move or rock, even better! And I love that it's light enough for children to carry it and move it to other areas of play making it very versatile limited only by their imagination!

We would love a curvy board for our homeschool :) it's such a awesome creation that leaves play up to the imagination! Great! I would enjoy the girls using during yoga + free play :)

I love the idea of the curvy board and was looking at them a few days ago. I have a 3 yr old grandson, his birthday is in a month, I would love to be able to give him one!

Made in the USA! I love this board! While using imagination, the kids can be or go anywhere they want!  A ship's captain abroad on the ocean in a perilous storm, a surfer on the wild summer waves, a bold tight-rope walker at the wind's mercy, a great traveling explorer taking a bridge into the great unknown! I appreciate that you take such care in its construction and that it will last for years so they can enjoy it at many ages. Not only good for their imagination, it is good physically--while building strong legs it also enhances balance and awareness of their surroundings. I can see my children discovering things within themselves that electronics never could or ever would.
