Owl Book Mark Directions

The pattern and directions for this wise old owl is now available in the FREE Pattern section. This one took me a bit longer to make than the pussycat...about 2 hours...but still a quick little project to make at the last minute to give to an avid reader. Use my design, the climbing vine, or try something uniquely yours like tumbling acorns or leaves. Enjoy!

(Hmmm, no, I'm not the least bit biased.) Natures Way Learning.

My blog is about...well, anything I feel like writing about that week. I post a new blog each Tuesday morning and talk about parenting, grandparenting, cooking, decorating, and whatever else speaks to me that week! It is written in a light hearted fashion and encourages your comments! One Generation To Another.

Pussycat Book Mark Directions

The pattern and directions for the Pussycat Book Mark is now available in the FREE Pattern Section. Michelle and the kiddos were just over for lunch. Bug saw the book mark, picked it up, and started petting it! I ask you, what more could a little pussycat ask for? Given the fact that he loves to read, (Bug, not the cat!) I'm guessing this little cat will wind up an extra Christmas gift for him! Easy to make, given yourself about an hour and a half, and I'm sure you can think of someone on your gift list who'd love to pet this little pussycat. Enjoy!

The Owl and the Pussycat Bookmarks

When I have some down time, if I'm not actually crafting, I usually have my sketch book out and I'm doodling away. Some of my doodles stay just that, a bit of fancy on a blank page. But other times, I'll be sketching with no particular project in mind, and I'll say, "Hey, that would make a swell..." Well, last night I was messing around and made some plump animals. There was an owl and a pussycat...hmmm...how Edward Lear of me! Anyway, poem aside, looking at them I thought they'd make great toppers for a bookmark. So, I moved on from doodle to design and came up with a couple of bookmarks. They are cute, quick to make, and would make excellent stocking stuffers. I got the cat done, just as he was finishing a delicious fish! I'll get the directions on-line tomorrow for the cat, and in a couple of days I'll finish up the owl. If you'd like to make the pussycat, check back tomorrow for directions!
