Spring Flowers Applique

Tim and I went to Boredine’s Nursery this weekend. It’s a local chain in Michigan and one of our favorite haunts in the spring and summer. They have yet to stock the store with the year’s annuals and perennials, but it doesn’t stop hard core gardeners from congregating. Like Tim and I, there were many people out this weekend, strolling the indoor section of the nursery, looking at patio furniture, barbecue grills and garden art. After we walked the aisles, dreaming and planning, we settled into a comfy loveseat in their outdoor furniture department. We must have sat there for an hour… true story… just talking spring and plotting new projects.

The best part, however, was that people kept stopping and talking to us. We got to hear about other people’s spring time plans. We meet several of the employees and at one point joked (well, only half-way joked) about ordering pizzas to share with the staff. Maybe another time.

Anyway, it was a lovely morning, and nice to be among our kind… people antsy to get their hands in the dirt, eagerly waiting for their yards to explode with all the colors of spring!

Today, we are sharing our Spring Flower Applique from our April Applique Collection. As always it was made to fit on a 6″ x 6″ block but can be enlarged or reduced to meet your needs. The coloring page for this will be up soon!
