First off… HAPPY NEW YEAR to one and all. I hope everyone had a lovely Holiday, and wish everyone blessings for the coming year 🙂
As you know, we've been on "break" for the past 2 weeks. 2 weeks… where DID the time go? Anyway, as everyone gets back into their normal routines… Michelle and the wee ones will fall into their school days, and Tim has headed back to work after 2 Heavenly weeks home, I find that I really need a break from my break! I'm sure many… perhaps MOST of you can understand that!
The plan is to stay in my jammies A LOT, get some projects organized, and do some serious strategic planning for the coming year. We have been working on our shop, but we are still undecided as to how to balance our online time with our real life projects. At least our lives are never boring!
I am off to drink my cup of coffee by the picture window that overlooks our wooded backyard. It is FINALLY snowing, the birds are busy partaking of the banquet we have set for them, and I will start this next week lingering a bit too long at the window, slowing down, counting my blessings, and making plans.

Actually… it is an L.L. Bean flannel nightgown. I bought my first about 12 years ago. I wore it for, oh, six years (takes a while to truly break in 🙂 I went to reorder and they were all sold out. I was heartbroken. (When I find something I like, I don't accept change easily!) The next year they had them again. Believe it or not, I the next year I bought 4 identical nightgowns! Three are still put away in the wrappers they came with. True story 🙂

Happy New Year Kimara! A couple years ago your new pups needed you while they grew up and learned ‘the ropes’. So now I’m wondering if you’re maybe thinking about showing us how to build a gnome home? I’ve been dcollecting parts and pieces to make furnishings and waiting ever so patiently…….so, pretty please? Even tho my grandchildren are all now in their teens your blog is perfect for those of us who never completely grow up and enjoy the simpler, joyful things in life.
We have been asked so often for a tutorial on our gnome house, but when we first made it, we didn't have Wee Folk Art, and weren't compulsive in documenting everything we did 🙂 To do a tutorial justice, we felt like we had to make one from scratch. They are time consuming, so we decided to do a tutorial the next time we needed to make one. As it stands right now, we plan to make another this summer, for the Little Ladies 2nd b-day or Christmas. So, be a little more patient, and we will be sharing our plans.
BTW… my wish for everyone is that they always hold unto the awe and playfulness of a child 🙂
