Perils of the Pond<\/h4>\n

I watched the flight of a dragonfly,
\nAs it flittered here and there,
\nThen it lit upon a lily pad,
\nWithout a worry or care.<\/p>\n

Be safe, my darling dragonfly,
\nFor the pond can be quite scary
\nFor a tasty little treat like you,
\nSo please be very wary.<\/p>\n

Fish and frogs and passing birds,
\nWould find it quite delightful,
\nTo munch upon a dragonfly,
\nAnd I find that truly frightful!<\/p>\n

So do take care, dear dragonfly,
\nAs you take a little rest,
\nThen leave the pond with all due haste,
\nThat surely would be best!<\/p>\n
