If you are following the original online version, the Wooden Bead Caterpillar project would take the place of the Butterfly Life Cycle Collage scheduled in week eleven. It makes a sweet companion project for the <a href=\"https:\/\/weefolkart.com\/homeschool\/coffee-filter-butterfly-craft\/\">Coffee Filter Butterflies<\/a>. Children may need help making the antenna and finishing the end of the caterpillar but they will enjoy stringing the beads onto the pipe cleaner. Twist the end around making a lasso shape.<\/p>\n<p class=\"rtecenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/weefolkart.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/spring2015\/w-bead-caterpillar8.jpg?w=1260\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Carefully flatted the lasso so that it is folded in half.<\/p>\n<p class=\"rtecenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/weefolkart.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/spring2015\/w-bead-caterpillar9.jpg?w=1260\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Twist each end of the lasso to create the <span style=\"line-height: 20.7999992370605px;\">antennae<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"rtecenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/weefolkart.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/spring2015\/w-bead-caterpillar7.jpg?w=1260\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Slide your first bead onto the piper cleaner from the opposite side of the antennae. (If your wooden bead is filled with dry paint, you can use a yarn needle or similar to clean it out.)
