Have you been thinking about quilting but not sure how to get started? Like anything else, quilting is not hard if you break it down into small steps and learn a few tricks. This week we are going to be talking about hand quilting, and before the week is over, you’ll be quilting like a pro! We’ll be sharing some techniques we employ and be asking our readers, many of which quilt circles around me, to share their little secrets. So stayed tuned!
I hope you are going to share how you get your stitches so even. I marvel every time I look at all your handwork! I’ve been quilting for the past couple of years and my stitches don’t look like yours!!! Sorry to hear the flu hit your house. It played a visit here too. Someone has been sick all week. I’ve washed more sheets than I care to think about. Sending lots of good, germ free wishes that you manage not to get sick!
I am doing a happy dance cause I just spent lots of money on Christmas fabri and kits for next Christmas and I do need guidence.
Thanks for all you do!
Yay! I’m working on a wall hanging that will be hand quilted….my 3rd HQ attempt. This post is very timely…
I could kiss you now! I want to make one for my little girl, but I never made it before – and when I started digging through the net, I just got overwhelmed :/ Thanks thanks thaaaanks! 🙂
Perfect timing! I want to contribute a quilt square to my library’s birthday quilt – but I don’t quilt – yet. The quilt will have a book theme and I’m hoping to do my square with Frog and Toad (Arnold Lobel).I’ve always wanted to quilt, but just haven’t made the time to learn. This is the year!
I’ve been reading your blog for a while now and I’m always inspired. Thanks for sharing all that you do!
