A couple weeks ago ‘A’ found a Woolly Bear Caterpillar in the backyard. A great find in any little boy’s world! We gave him a nice home for the night, looked up what type of winged creature he would turn into and then set him free in the morning. I wasn’t totally up on what to feed the little guy and really wasn’t interested in a repeat of last summer’s tadpole experience (the tadpole had no interest in demonstrating “Metamorphosis” and after 4 months on the kitchen counter was released to the nearest pond – yes, he was a native species). Anyway, the Woolly Caterpillar made an impression and a few evenings ago, ‘A’ drew a picture of him plus his interpretation of what he would look like now.
