I am a fan of baby caps. Whether you live in a frigid climate or go in and out of overly zealous air conditioned buildings, those adorable, but often bald wee heads can chill an otherwise comfortable baby. And, on sunny days, it can protect their scalps from burning. Although here in Michigan and are now flirting with spring, I would still toss a cap on baby’s head. Of course, when the weather grows warm, I switch over to light weight caps, but for those of you in the Southern Hemisphere that are entering Autumn, now is the perfect time to make sure you have just the right cap to keep baby comfy.
Here is a collection of FREE knit cap patterns. They all lie close to the head and will keep baby toasty. They range from simple to more complicated stitches. We hope you find one of these FREE knit hat patterns that you will fall in love with!
