We would like to introduce a new series that we will be running throughout the year. We like to call it Out of the Block. We have many fans of our ever growing applique collection… but are also often asked "what do you do with all those blocks?" This is a question that sometimes leaves us puzzled… because the way we look at it is "what can't you do with an applique block?" So to everyone who has thought our appliques are cute but have yet to find a use for them… or has a hard time imagining using them in any other way than they were originally designed, we are challenging you to think Out of the Block!
I’m not sure what direction you plan to take this, but I am one of those people that look at your appliques and think they are so adorable but since I’m lacking in creativity, I don’;t use them. I’m excited to be given some direction. I hope the project we see in this picture is the project you are talking about. It is too cute for words! We are expecting our first child at the end of the summer and are talking nursery. Looks like you painted this on a wall??? I’m thinking I know what I want to do in the nursery now. Yippy Skippy!
Although it may not always seem that way, there is usually a method to our madness! The block feature above and the wall painting will be shared in April. Still, plenty of time before the baby arrives 🙂
I still need to finish my dog garden quilt. I will have to send you a photo so you can see how I used the bugs that you made me.

You're as bad as me… so many projects going at the same time 🙂 Make sure you let us know when you are done. Can't wait to see it 🙂
I hand applique whenever I watch TV or travel a long distance. I already have way more projects in mind than I’ll ever have time to make, but am always looking for more cute ideas. Can’t wait to see what you do in the new series.
