Shop :: Grand Opening and Giveaway!!!

Wee Folk Art Market Place is open from 7:00 a.m. Mondays to 7:00 a.m. EST Tuesdays. For the first few weeks, while we get all the bugs out of the system, the shop may close early if we reach the maximum number of orders we will accept.

EDIT: This giveaway is now closed. Thanks to everyone that entered 🙂
Boing, boing, boing, boing! That’s the sound of me jumpin’ up and down for joy! How very exciting today is for us. The realization of a 4 year old dream feels pretty darn good. Now… fingers, toes and eyes crossed that all goes smoothly… but if it doesn’t, we know we are amongst friends and you’ll be supportive and understanding, so low stress here 🙂

Having said that, if you haven’t done so already, it’s time for you to bop over to our shop… K… I’m going to say that again, bop over to OUR shop (has a nice ring doesn’t it?) and check out our modest offerings. We have big plans for Wee Folk Art Market Place, but one step at a time! Over the next several months, you will find new products and ideas being added to the shop… some that you would anticipate… like, oh, gnomes 🙂 and others that may take you by surprise.

But, we are living in the moment, so we are enjoying today’s accomplishments. Now, about the giveaway. Since we are trying to tailor our shop to the readers, here’s what you need to do to enter. OBVIOUSLY, go visit Wee Folk Art Market Place.

First, choose any item in the store that you would like to receive (not included: the Needle Felting Kit or the 100% Wool Rainbow Felting Yarn Bundle) if you win.

Second, go to our GALLERY of FREE PATTERNS, and tell us what item(s) you would like to see turned into a kit. This will be valuable market research for us!

So… leave a comment telling us what item you would like to receive if your name is drawn at random AND tell us what past project of ours you would like to see sold as a kit in our shop.

Remember, our shop is like a Farmers Market. We are only open one day a week, and we have limited number of items that are for sale during shop hours. Once they are sold, they are gone for the week. Also, in the beginning, we will only accept a certain number of orders during a Market Day. Once we hit that, the shop will be closed. The shop doors will be left open for you to window shop, but you won’t be able to buy again until the next Monday.

But not to worry… even if the shop is closed, you can still enter the giveaway. And, although we won’t be shipping overseas for a few weeks, everyone can enter the giveaway, and we will gladly ship overseas if you win!

The giveaway runs from Monday, April 23 through Thursday, April 26 at 9:00 p.m. EST. Good luck to everyone! Over the next few weeks we will be offering more giveaways as we celebrate the Grand Opening. You won’t want to miss them 🙂

Okay… think that’s everything. If you have any questions about the Market Place or encounter any problems, please email us at shop@weefolkart.com.

REMEMBER… the Market Place will only accept a certain amount of orders for the first few weeks. We’re not sure if we will meet that number in 15 minutes or 15 hours. Also, there is a limited number of any one product. When something sells out, it will not be available again until next week. If there is something you would really like, make sure to visit us early 🙂 And although we do not take special orders, email us if there was something you wanted that was sold out. We will try to make sure they are available the next week. shop@weefolkart.com

So, off you go. Browse or shop. Share your ideas with us, and enter our giveaway. Next week we will be giving away something I made 🙂 Enjoy!

Congratulations on your store opening! I am almost as excited as you!

Pick a kit to make? I can’t decide! Maybe an assortment of yarn to make the Christmas ornament balls.

I would love to try the soy paints – I love the bright colors!

  • Milana

Congratulations, I love your shop, it’s wonderful!

I would love for you to include Gnome pillow dolls as a kit in the shop.

I also love Wooden Acorn Memory Game Kit, would love a chance to win it.

  • Cath

    Thanks for this giveaway.
What I would like to receive the Wooden Sorting Bowls and Acorns Kit and the pattern I would like turned into a kit is the wooden pine forest.
    Thanks

  • Pamela

Congratulations on the shop! It’s lovely! There’s so many things that I have my eye on! If I didn’t already have my own homemade wood polish, I would love to have that bundled with the soy paint and possibly the sandpaper too. I have having to drag 4 kids to the store to search for one item, lol!

  • Sara

    The new shop is great!

I would love the soy paints.

For kits, I would like to see the apple orchard or the big gnomes.

  • Bonney

I placed my order bright and early yesterday and now I can’t wait for all my things to arrive!! I’d love to see the wizards made into a kit. I love working with felt and these projects are wonderful take alongs!

  • Anne Marie

Congrats on your shop. I would love to win the wooden eggs and egg cups and would love to see any of the gnomes made into kits.

  • Carole M

    The shop looks great!
I would like to win the flower garland.
I’d like to see the party purse turned into a kit. Congratulations again!

  • Leigh

The Wooden Sorting Bowls and Acorns Kit look perfect. My boys would love them.

I’d really like the peg gnomes featured as a kit. They are irresistible.

  • Tammy

    Congratulations on the new shop!

I would love to see the felted blue bird offered as a kit. I have never felted roving before and would love to learn without the trouble of sourcing materials and instructions separately. I would love to have the beeswax finish for all of my current wood projects. Thank you for the chance!

  • Beth

I would love to see the “hats for sale” playset offered as a kit.
If I won I would choose the sorting acorns/bowls.
    Thanks!

  • Andrea from ziezo

Congratulations! I am certain that this will be a huge success. Great items and a lovely looking shop. My favorite is the Wool Felt Rainbow Roll. . . I love working with felt!

Considering a crafty daughter I would suggest the Treasure Pouch to be sold as a kit. . . I think they would make a fantastic crafty gift.

  • Snagrom

Congratulations on the first opening being a huge success! It’s wonderful to see you guys get so much support for your shop when you’ve been so terribly generous with all your patterns and craft ideas. Well done =).
I’d love (like lots of other people it seems) to see the autumn apple trees turned into a kit as I have no access to a wood saw. I hope shipping won’t be prohibitively expensive when you start doing overseas orders.
I’d love to win any of the wood finishing bits like the wax finishing or the non-toxic rainbow of paints.

  • Sunny Loya

I just love all the patterns, tutorials, and ideas on your website. Your creativity and aesthetic are so pleasing and charming. If I were to win the giveaway, I would like to receive the spring flowers garland kit. And if you were to make a kit from any of your tutorials, I would recommend the big gnomes (include the peg people, wool felt, embroidery floss, and paper/pdf patterns). Although, any of the wood crafts (e.g., apple trees, fall trees, old world gnomes) would also make a great kit (e.g., enough wood to make 6-7 trees, small amount of stain and wood finish, sandpaper, paper/pdf pattern). Thanks for your fun website!

  • GM

I’d pick the Wood Finishing Kit. It would be great for finishing some of my projects I’ve been leaving off.

I think any of the wooden projects would be great to sell. I know woodworking isn’t something I have the knowledge or tools for. If I had to pick just one to start I’d go with the Wooden Apple Orchard.

I love the new shop! Never would have thought about the one-day concept, but I sure hope it works for you. It’s kinda cute in a way.
I especially love the Wooden Sorting Bowls and Acorns Kit. My daughter would have lots of fun with that.
For new ideas, I would like to see they Mushroom Business Card Holder. I think the Wool Penny Coasters would make a nice kit and a nice gift for friends.

  • Karen a/k/a the lazy quilter

Best of luck with the shop – good for you! 🙂 I love the sorting acorns.

  • kiku

Congratulations on the success of your first day! Our family really enjoys the inspiration from your blog.

Thanks for offering a giveaway too! If I won I would pick the rainbow bundle of wool felt. . . I think :} That wood polish is pretty tempting too.

The thing I would most like to see made into a kit are your wooden trees. And also the little peg people in sleeping bags. We love them all!

  • Lora W.

    Congratulations on the Grand Opening!
I love the Spring Flower Garland Kit and I have always loved the felt tree forest. I printed those directions but never got around to doing them. I think those should be a kit.
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  • Ali H.

Oh my goodness, there is so much good STUFF in the shop! We’re literally right in the middle of a big move, so now is not the time to shop, but soon! Oh soon!

With regards to the giveaway (and thank you thank you thank you!) I am so drawn to those sorting acorns and bowls! So sweet! I adore them. As for what I’d like to see made into a kit next? Either the little orchard, or either of the forests! I am a sucker for trees!! =)

  • Pattie

I’d love to see the felt-tree-forest in a bundle package. I’d love to have the fairy flower mum and bub, they can live in the forest.

I love the idea of a store. Great job.

    Pattie

  • Christie H

You did wonderful on the shop. It looks great. I ordered the matching acorns and I would love to win the egg cups. It seems like only yesterday you started doing this blog, what a great new chapter. So excited for you!

  • Daffodi Angel

Hello, I would love to win the embroidery floss pack. In your store I would like to see the Waterfall Scarf as a kit. I have used your patterns on several occasions and they always turn out perfectly. Congratulations on a great store.

  • Lura

I’m really thrilled about your shop =) We’d love to win the Wooden Sorting Bowls and Acorns kit and I think it would be fun to see a gnome city bed kit. I can’t wait for next week! Thanks =)

  • Parul

I write this on behalf of Mira, our 6 year old crafter. She would love to lay her creative hands on the rainbow roll of wool felt.
A kit for the autumn wooden trees would be fantastic for dad!

  • Eddie

Congratulations on the opening of your store!

If I won, I’d go for the Flower Fairy Wand kit, because I think my 11 year old would love to make it for her only girl cousin.

And to answer your question about the kits, I’d love to see the banners made into kits, especially the fall and rainbow ones. Actually, the wooden orchard would make a great kit too, just in time for apple picking season!

  • learningwithlachlan

Congrats! The shop is wonderful My favourites are the sortin acorns. They are adorable and a great developmentally stimulating material. I’d love to make some for my therapy patient kids. They would love them!

  • Julie W.

I’ve been wanting to start a gnome home, so I guess kits that would make a gnome family would be what I would most likely buy in kit form (I’m ,ore of a supply buying person). If my name got drawn I would like to win either the wool roving or the soy paints. Both products are what I’m looking at buying in the near future. Congrats on opening your store. Best wishes.

  • kimberly

oh I would love the soy paint! And to see the felt trees in a kit:) Love you stuff, very inspiring!

  • mamaCarla

I think that both of my kiddos would get a ton of enjoyment out of the acorn memory game. I would love to see any of your woodworking projects-especially the Christmas Corner trees and birds as a kit. My lovely husband got me a scroll saw for my birthday this year, but I am still learning and there are so many wonderful things to make. I can’t keep up. 🙂
