Stacking Birdie Applique Block

Okay, I’ll admit it… I’m like everyone else. I love our Wooden Pine Forest, but my heart was captured by the little birdies! So, it only seemed fitting that I “immortalize” them in one of our applique blocks. I took the little bird and made 2 larger variations. On our directions you’ll find patterns for 3 different sized birds. For our applique block, I simply stacked the birds on top of one another. This is a very easy pattern, and went together quickly. I can think on many places this could be adorably placed! As always, it was made to fit a 6″ block, but the pattern can be enlarged or reduced to meet your needs. The Stacking Birdies Applique Block can be found HERE or with our FREE Applique Patterns. Enjoy!

Note about patterns: We are sharing patterns we have designed and made for our own children, families and friends. Every effort is made to share information in a clear and accurate manner. We offer preemptive apologies for any mistakes that may be made. Please let us know via comments or emails if you stumble upon a mistake or if you stumble upon a mistake or if you encounter directions that leave you scratching your head! 1. Holy schmoly… I love your blog and all of your goodies – I feel like I just found a huge chest of buried treasure! I think I need two full days to go through all of your free patterns. To say thanks for visiting my blog is an understatement!

  2. I love the way you stacked these. Of course I’m thinking how many would you have to stack on a back until they disappeared? Stinking cute!

  3. Now I want to make felt blocks for my youngest and put these adorable birds on them. Ack! I can’t add anything else to my list!! LOL

    1. Michelle and I were just having this conversation. We may run out of time but we never run out of ideas of how to spend time 🙂 Our to-do "list" is more an unruly collage of multi-colored post-it notes on the cupboard above my computer! One of these days I need to take them all down and organize and prioritize them! Hmmm… that deserves it’s own post-it!

  4. I’m making bibs for my sister’s baby shower. These will be so cute on them.

  5. Yay! I love the birdies too. This is so cute! I’ll be linking.
