Several weeks ago we had a new sponsor quietly join our Wee Folk Art family. We are so pleased, to introduce them now. It is Felt-o-rama. If you have never been to the site, you are in for a real treat. I’ll let the owner, April, tell you a little more about Felt-o-rama in her own words. 

A few years ago, I was in search of felt for my own craft projects. I just couldn’t find a source for a wide variety of felt in fresh and vibrant colors. I knew that other crafters out there must be yearning for the same beautiful felt and Felt-o-rama was born! Felt is the ultimate ‘blank canvas’ with a texture like no other and is such a pleasure to work with.
Currently, we carry 5 varieties of felt (Bamboo Felt, Recycled Eco-Felt, Wool Blend Felt, Woven Felted Wool, and 3mm Wool Felt) in a total of over 100 colors. In addition, we have a fantastic collection of felt-centric craft patterns and books, needle felting and embroidery supplies, and felt embellishments.
 
There is such an inspirational world of felt crafters out there and our blog has an extensive collection of links to felt tutorials. It’s definitely worth bookmarking for an endless list of projects for gifts, toys, home décor, accessories, and much more!
 
I am delighted April decided to start Felt-o-rama. I’ve been using her recycled-Eco Felt, which is lovely to work with, and I’ve just recently purchased some of her woven felted wool that I’m anxious to use. It is so soft and the colors are lovely.

Product description:
An environmentally friendly and lead-free craft felt! Ecospun (also known as Eco-fi) felt is made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles. On average, 10 plastic bottles will produce 1 pound of fiber.
 
This 28 piece bundle contains a 9″ x 12″ sheet of each color shown.

Product description:
This charming owl kit is designed for those with some experience needle felting but adventuresome craft folks won’t have difficulty. Step by step instructions include photographs for each step.
 
There is enough wool roving in the kit for two owls. Each owl is approximately 2.5″ long.
 
Each kit contains:
•White, gray, yellow and blue New Zealand Corriedale wool
•Black Merino wool
•2 felting needles
•Pipecleaner
You will also need wire cutters or scissors and a small pair of pliers along with a sponge or foam pad to work on. We recommend the Woolpets Needle Felting Foam Pad. Since the kit contains a sharp needle, children under the age of ten should have adult supervision.

    I especially love their felt bundles, no specific one but all of them. I love that they use such sturdy felts and the eco options are great too! So many lovely colors to choose from, why choose at all and just pick up a bundle or two? 🙂

    I love the variety of colours available in the different felts – it makes my embroidering, appliqueing eye light up! Its really hard to get felt where I live so I’m glad to have a good source for on-line shopping.

    As someone who loves to work with felt but is allergic to wool I am excited to see the eco-felt and bamboo felt! So nice to have such a good sellection of enviornmentally friendly alternatives to wool felt!

    Bamboo felt!? This is the first i’ve heard of it- it sounds wonderfully snuggly. This site is so inspiring i’d have to pick felt and have a go.

    Bamboo felt definitely sounds lovely and soft. For my favourite of the site I’d have to go with the Hand-Stitched Felt: 25 Whimsical Sewing Projects book as it says you can complete them in an hour which is about perfect for the time I have! How generous to run a giveaway competition. Thankyou!

    I love felt-o-rama and have browsed their web-page several times before. I really like their felt flowers and their bamboo felt too. I would LOVE to win the bundle of recycled felt as I have several projects from the “Big Little Felt Universe” that I would love to create!

    You are right – it is hard to decide! But, I think I love the most “One Red Robin Mama Matroyska Softie Pattern”, beside the beautiful colors in “Natural Wool Roving Autumn Colors”.

    I would love to win one of the needle-felting kits – I just start needle felting and it became my passion 🙂

    I think I love the 3mm wool felt, mostly because I am partial to all-natural fibers and processes, but I won’t know for usre until I buy some! The woolpets felting kits look like so much fun!

    I absolutely adore the Animal Crackers pattern. I would also love to give needle felting a try. I live way out in a rural area and I can’t find any shops that sell it in my country!

    I’m in awe of anyone who knows how to dye, so the hand-dyed felt and thread caught my eye. I also love the idea of using recycled plastic bottles to create a beautiful piece.

    I discovered felt-o-rama this year with a bundle of Eco-felt to kick off my craftiness. I can’t stop now! Love felt and love new projects. I am going to splurge on some wool felt for crafts this summer!

    Such a delightful company. I have had a hard time finding fun, beautiful, wool felt. I would probably say the wool roving, and the wool felt are my favorites on the website! It would be fun to try them out!

    So many fun choices! The wool roving sets look lovely – esp the autumn. I would also love to try each of the different felts… So, as a fave, I would choose the eco-felt set (or the tropical bamboo felt set).

    I would choose the felt bundle. I just ordered some felt from them last week and although it won’t be here until tomorrow, they have the best customer service. Wonderful communication because a certain item wasn’t in yet. I bet the felt is as nice as their customer service.
