When I have some down time, if I’m not actually crafting, I usually have my sketch book out and I’m doodling away. Some of my doodles stay just that, a bit of fancy on a blank page. But other times, I’ll be sketching with no particular project in mind, and I’ll say, “Hey, that would make a swell…” Well, last night I was messing around and made some plump animals. There was an owl and a pussycat…hmmm…how Edward Lear of me! Anyway, poem aside, looking at them I thought they’d make great toppers for a bookmark. So, I moved on from doodle to design and came up with a couple of bookmarks. They are cute, quick to make, and would make excellent stocking stuffers. I got the cat done, just as he was finishing a delicious fish! I’ll get the directions on-line tomorrow for the cat, and in a couple of days I’ll finish up the owl.
