I was thrilled when Michelle called me and told me Artterro Eco Art Kits wanted to be a Wee Folk Art sponsor. If you’ve never heard of them, you’re in for a real treat. Tomorrow, Artterro will be hosting a give-away here at Wee Folk Art. So, we thought it would be a colossally awesome idea, to introduce you to 1 …

Bug’s Christmas Gifts
Back in early November, I had my idea for Bug’s Christmas gift. He LOVES to draw, and I thought it was high time he had his own supplies. So, I got him a sketch book, a couple of “how to draw” books, and a nice set of pencils and erasers. I think he will really …
Eight Years and Two Days
At eight years and two days old… Bug finally lost his first tooth. An event we weren’t sure was ever going to happen… although our dentist assured us his x-rays look great and the adult teeth would at some point show themselves. I guess it stands to reason that it took so long for his …

Roman Gladiator Shield
Bug decided that he really wanted to make a Roman Gladiator Shield. I cut out cardboard rectangles for the kids. They then looked at images of roman shields and painted their shields. After the shields dried, we taped handle straps to the back of the shields. Bug’s turned out awesome!
Fun in Philly
We were on the road for a couple weeks… starting in Philly for my hubby’s cousin’s wedding. We went several days early so the kids could hang out with their cousins and we could check some of the fun things to do in Philly. Unfortunately I’m still having issues with my camera… I really need …
Dino Invasion at the Zoo
It is more than a little disconcerting to turn the corner at the zoo and come face to face with this… I couldn’t help but think of Jurassic Park movies and wonder… in whose world does this seem like a good idea?! Well, Bug thought it was totally cool and basically wanted to pet all …
Finger Painting Patio Tables
Today is just gorgeous outside and I wanted to get the kids out to do a big messy project. I was going to have them finger paint at their picnic table but it really needed a good cleaning since it has been outside all winter. Then the brilliant idea of using the bath tub paints we made …
Digging for Dino Bones
Bug got a fun Digging for Dinosaurs Model Kit for his birthday. He first had to dig the bones out of a block of sand. (WARNING – the sand rocks were EVERYWHERE!) Then he assembled his T-rex and painted it. He had a lot of fun with it!
