Shop :: Grand Opening and Giveaway!!!
Having said that, if you haven’t done so already, it’s time for you to bop over to our shop… K… I’m going to say that again, bop over to OUR shop (has a nice ring doesn’t it?) and check out our modest offerings. We have big plans for Wee Folk Art Market Place, but one step at a time! Over the next several months, you will find new products and ideas being added to the shop… some that you would anticipate… like, oh, gnomes 🙂 and others that may take you by surprise.
But, we are living in the moment, so we are enjoying today’s accomplishments. Now, about the giveaway. Since we are trying to tailor our shop to the readers, here’s what you need to do to enter. OBVIOUSLY, go visit Wee Folk Art Market Place.
First, choose any item in the store that you would like to receive (not included: the Needle Felting Kit or the 100% Wool Rainbow Felting Yarn Bundle) if you win.
Second, go to our GALLERY of FREE PATTERNS, and tell us what item(s) you would like to see turned into a kit. This will be valuable market research for us!
So… leave a comment telling us what item you would like to receive if your name is drawn at random AND tell us what past project of ours you would like to see sold as a kit in our shop.
Remember, our shop is like a Farmers Market. We are only open one day a week, and we have limited number of items that are for sale during shop hours. Once they are sold, they are gone for the week. Also, in the beginning, we will only accept a certain number of orders during a Market Day. Once we hit that, the shop will be closed. The shop doors will be left open for you to window shop, but you won’t be able to buy again until the next Monday.
But not to worry… even if the shop is closed, you can still enter the giveaway. And, although we won’t be shipping overseas for a few weeks, everyone can enter the giveaway, and we will gladly ship overseas if you win!
The giveaway runs from Monday, April 23 through Thursday, April 26 at 9:00 p.m. EST. Good luck to everyone! Over the next few weeks we will be offering more giveaways as we celebrate the Grand Opening. You won’t want to miss them 🙂
Okay… think that’s everything. If you have any questions about the Market Place or encounter any problems, please email us at shop@weefolkart.com.
REMEMBER… the Market Place will only accept a certain amount of orders for the first few weeks. We’re not sure if we will meet that number in 15 minutes or 15 hours. Also, there is a limited number of any one product. When something sells out, it will not be available again until next week. If there is something you would really like, make sure to visit us early 🙂 And although we do not take special orders, email us if there was something you wanted that was sold out. We will try to make sure they are available the next week. shop@weefolkart.com

Soo excited for you and your new shop :). I would love to win the acorn memory kit. As for future kits definitely would love to see the big gnomes and the owl doorstop as kits.
Aini R
Congratulations on the shop, it’s fantastic! I think that the falling leaves wallhanging, or indeed any wallhanging, would make a fabulous kit. Also, maybe do an applique ‘block of the month’ kit, that way at the end of the year there is a full quilt. 🙂 Oh, and if I were to win the Acorn memory kit would be awesome!
Allison Anders
How fun! If I won I’d like the wooden eggs and cups. I would like to see a kit for your big gnomes. I’ve been wanting to make those. Good luck with your shop!
Valerie
YAY–you should be so proud of you!!! I love the acorn memory game–know the perfect little wee one that would love that. I would love to see your falling leaves wallhanging as a kit–there are so many beautiful colors–Best of luck on your store–it’s going to fly!
JoAnn
Congrats!! I am so excited for you both. It inspires me to keep working toward opening my Etsy shop. If I were to be lucky enough to win I would love to have the sorting bowls/acorn kit. I love toys like that and I know our youngest three girls would enjoy it. As for what I would love to see as a kit. I am not sure if it would work but I would love to see a coiled rag bowl kit. Just enough to make a bowl to sit on a nature table maybe? Again congrats!! 🙂

Congrats on the store opening! Everything is so lovely … but to answer your questions:
1. if I won I would love the rainbow felt roll (I do lots of crafts with a girls’ club and a boys’ club I run, so supplies like the felt are perfect for projects!).
2. patterns to kit –>
definitely the Santa Peg Gnome into a kit (I LOVE Santas, don’t you?)
Spring Gnome Sleeping Bag
wooden apple orchard AND the wooden autumn forest
rainbow coiled basket
twirl and tie cap
old world gnomes
THANKS!
julia reeb
I would love the Spring Flower Garland, if I were to win. And I would love to see a kit for the Fairy Flower Carpet. Thanks!! And Congratulations – it is a gorgeous shop!
JLVerde
The new shop looks fabulous (and of course I’d love to enter your contest so. . )
1. What I’d like to win: I love the acorn kits (either one–they’re both so cute)
2. What I’d like to see made into a kit: The large fairies (they had tall hats and wood bodies–a kit with all the matched up felt would be so nice, take the hassle out of pondering the design).
EllieFitz
Congratulations on your Grand Opening!!!!
I would love to win the acorn memory kit and would be interested in some hair clip kits.
Laura29
I’d like to see the big gnomes made available as a kit and if I won, I’d like to receive the spring garland kit. Thanks for the great giveaway!
Marie
I’ve been following your blog for a long time. I love it and we have made many projects (my kids 6 and 3 each made a sleeping bag).
I would like the wool squares. For patterns I like Big Gnomes.
Robin Harris
I would love to win the wooden eggs and cups for my daughter! And I think the gnome sleeping bags would make a fun kit!
Jennifer Park
I’ve gotten so many good ideas from your blog–thanks for all your work!
I’d love to win the Spring Flower Garland Kit, and I’d love a kit for some of your wooden trees/animals–I don’t have the tools for the wood cutting, but if you provided the rough-cut shapes, we could sand/smooth/polish/paint them.
Jessica
Congratulations on the opening of your shop!
As I scrolled through the kits I thought I “needed” them all! But if I had to choose only one I would pick the wooden sorting bowls and acorns. So fun!
As far as one of the free patterns to turn into a kit I would love to see kits from the falling leaves wallhanging pattern, the big gnomes, or the wooden autumn forest. This was not much easier to choose though-so many of the free patterns are amazing and should all be turned into kits!
(another) Maria
I am excited to see your shop open for business.
If I won the giveaway, I think I would like the soy paint set.
And I would really like to see kits for the wooden trees. I have always wanted to make them, but am not ready to invest in a scroll saw. If you were able to cut them out, I would gladly finish them.
The Dutch Girl
Congratulations! Your shop looks wonderful. I would like to see the forests turned into a kit. Not everyone is handy with a scroll saw/jigsaw, or even owns one, and I think a kit might be the way to go.
And I have been wanting to try working with paper clay for a while now.
Good luck with the Marketplace!

Hi,
Love the shop and your blog very much. It inspires me to craft with my kids myself.
I really like your gnomes so they would make a great kit, to my opinion….
If I win, I’d like the fairy ribbon ring kit!
Thank you so much for the opportunity and good luck with your shop!
Pasuhi
All the products are fantastic ! I am so excited for you and for all of us that will be ordering.
I love the hand dyed wool squares. Pastels especially. As for what pattern I would like to see turned into a kit, my first choice would be the wooden Autumn forest. I have no tools to cut out wooden objects and so that would be a big plus for me to be able to get them in a kit form.
D Martin
Oh, I love the acorn sorting kit. What I would like to see as a kit would be the wooden mushrooms, or the mushroom pocket….
Gill
What a delightful selection! I would choose the Autumn and Pine trees to be made into a kit.. they are the most difficult to sort out at home I think. And I would love the acorns and sorting bowl kit. Good luck with your shop!
Heidi
Congratulations on your lovely new venture! Over the years I’ve made many of your crafts and my children have loved them all. Your Flower Fairy and Little Bud kit are my favorite in your store right now and as for a pattern kit-how about your Big Gnomes, sleeping bags, business card holder….. or really anything made from wool felt! I Love all the peg people in their various forms and they are always a big hit with the little ones!
Cindy Law
What a delightful little store. Thank you for offering it. Love the items you are offering, and can’t wait to see what you add.
Cindy
Marie Havrankova
Thatu00B4s great news. I think you should make Felted Childu00B4s Purse a kit…And if I win…thatu00B4s so hard to tell, you have plenty of gorgeous things there, I love the acorns, but donu00B4t have kids yet, so 100% Wool Felt Rainbow Rolls.
Ashley H
So excited to see the grand opening! I think our gnomes and fairies really need a Spring Flower Garland.
I agree with others that precut wooden shapes like trees would make great kits for those of us without workshops.
Tanya Miller
The kit I would like to win is Flower Fairy and Baby Bud Kit and the one I would like to see made is Felt Tree Forest
Julia Janzen
The 100% wool felt rainbow rolls are my all time 1st choice! I’ve really been wanting to try to make the Big Gnomes for a while now. http://weefolkart.com/content/big-gnomes-little-hands-delivered They may be a little advanced for me but I’d love to try. 🙂
Much success in your marketplace!
Guest
Congrats I love your new shop.
If chosen I would like the soy paint set.
I would love to see your cardinal and robin appliques sold as a kit.
MC
I’ve been reading your blog for quite a while and I think wood & felt toys are great. I think the Wooden Apple Orchard would make a great kit, and the animal doorstops too. If you pick me I would live some wool felt!
This Cosy Life
Congrats! I hope it’s a big success for you. I would love to have the spring garland kit. And I would love too see kits for the gnomes with their sleeping bags.
Gemma
I spent ages trying to think what would be good for the next kit, and seem to have come to the same conclusion as lots of other people – I think that the wooden apple orchard would be a good one, especially (as previously mentioned in other comments) for those people who are rubbish at woodwork!
If I won I’d choose the wooden eggs and cups as one of my friends is expecting and I think they’d love a set for their little one when s/he’s old enough.
Kelly Guinan
I LOVE your new shop – couldn't wait for it to open this morning. Winning your giveaway would be fantastic! As far as what I'd like to see in your shop as kits – any of your wood patterns are my first choice!
I was so excited about everything, that I forgot to add my selection if I win – the wooden memory game would be lovely 🙂
Stephanie Barrett
I love the Spring Flower Garland Kit. I hope you create a Gnome Leprechaun Kit. I’ve been wanting to make these for a couple of years, but haven’t made the effort to gather all of the supplies.
Cynthia S
I would absolutely love the wool felt rainbow roll. (Both of the acorn kits are favourites of mine as well!)
I would love to see either the Big Gnomes or the Rainbow Coiled Rag Bowl made into a kit.
Shannon M
Congratulations!! We love the rainbow felt…and we would love to see the apple orchard as a kit!
Beth Spell
I just completed my first order. I was so excited to be able to order, but was worried that being on the west coast, everyone would order before i woke up 🙂 and then the power went out!!! but lucky me, I still got to order. I love all of your patterns and ideas, but I would love to see a kit for the big Gnomes and I would love to win either the soy paints or the rainbow felt pack. but I am just happy to be able to order 🙂 I hope this venture goes well for you!!!
Kimara
We've had a few emails about the time. If we are finding that we are running out of many items (we've run out of the soy paint and we had to replenish several of the wood sets) we may change our time to 10:00 a.m. to give west coasters a fair shake 🙂 The next few weeks we will be working out lots of bugs 😉
Erika Martin
Congrats on your accomplishments! The shop looks amazing and the prices are so reasonable!!
Tonia Jeffery
I would pick the sorting bowls. And a kit that would be nice to see would be the wooden apple orchard.
Jane
I like the accorn sorting set and the memory set, maybe I am in an accorn mood today. I would love to see the autum trees in the shop, so pretty I have been after my husband to make something like those for a long time, but it has not happened.

What a fun day!
Your products look fantastic! I love the wool felt rainbow rolls, felt looks so appealing when it’s rolled in rainbow colours!
I would also love to see the big gnomes made into a kit or the rainbow coiled rag bowl.
Best of luck to you!
xoxo

PS. Will Canada be lumped in with International Shipping? Here we have 3 options – Canada(domestic), US or Overseas(international)
Kimara
For at least this week, we are only doing US. We are trying to figure out the best way to ship to Canada. Just curious… what do you find to be the most economical way to get things from the states?
Guest Janis James
Usually my postage from the US is your US Postal system. Have had no real problems at all. Sometimes a quirk or two with duty but that’s my issue not yours. It helps if the company I’m ordering from sends as a gift not a commercial product, but it’s usually not an issue. Occasionally I have received packages from UPS – again, no problem at all. I order from Amazon regularly and it’s great. Canadians need things too. 🙂
Thanks, Janis
Kimara
Of course Canadians need things too, hehe 🙂 Thanks for sharing this info. Hopefully, we will have everything squared away in the next couple of weeks and you can shop to your heart's content 🙂
Maureen K.
I would choose the soy stain–both shades although I really would have liked the wool felting kit and rovings.
I would like to see the Matroyska (SP?) doll applique turned into an embroidered pillow kit. A piece of printed muslin with the doll markings on it and a second piece for the back, and some fiberfill to stuff it with. I would also like it to have the seam line be the outline of the doll so that you can cut it and make a little pillow doll from it as opposed to having a square or round pillow shape.
Karen P
Good luck with your new shop! For your drawing, I’d love the wooden acorn memory game for my grandson. A kit I’d like to see is your Moon and Stars sleeping bag and gnome.
Joy
I love your acorn color matching and sorting kit. I can see it heading right to our play kitchen. I think that the child’s ball would make a great pattern.
Kim
ohh, i would choose the hand dyed felt squares!
forgot to mention the pattern…..i think the treasure pouch or the gnome sleeping bag would be cute kits!
Smartchick
I love the acorn memory game. My daughter would have a blast with that. I would love to see a kit for the “big gnomes” as a kit as they are one of my favorite things in the patterns!
Noelle
I’ve been lurking here for ages and am so glad that the shop is finally open! The flower fairy kit is darling and the Big/little waldorf style gnomes from the pattern section would be a great addition. I would also suggest stocking some of the plain peg people in the supplies section for people who didn’t want to get a full kit (they already have left over felt) but didn’t want to get the peg people from a whole different site. Congrats again!
celeste
Oh I love the felt rolls or the flower fairies. I would suggest some pattern to make your own gnome house base or stocking the peg people. I keep thinking I will get to this for my girls-they would love it.
Carola
Congratulations!! I would love to see the Moon and Stars Gnomes and Sleeping Bag as a kit and the Flower Fairy and Baby Bud Kit would be fun to have! Good luck in your new endeavor!
Kathy W.
Congratulations on your new shop! So exciting!
I would love to see the gnomes and sleeping bags (especially the moon and stars ones!) turned into kits. They are adorable and it would be great to have all the supplies ready to create some.
I would love to win the SoyCraft Rainbow Paint Pack — I could make so many fun things with those vibrant, non-toxic colors!
Bon
I would like the gnome bed turned into a kit….it’s just so cute!
I would like the knitting tower….have wanted one for a while now…
I’m so happy you have a shop!!! You should sell some tshirts, bags, etc. with your little gnome symbol on it…it’s too cute!!
Wishing you all the best!!
VT Patty
Congratulations! I’ve been eagerly awaiting your new shop and now it’s here!
The knitting tower is perfect for the “wee folk” in my life. I hope I’m the lucky winner! All of your patterns are great, but I’d love to see a kit for the Felt Baby Ball or the Knit Gnomes or the Big Gnomes. 🙂
elana
congratulations on the opening of your shop! i love everything about it!
i would love to see a kit for the big gnomes. would love to make it for my little one.
if i win this give away, i would love to receive the soy paint pack. i love working with wood and i would love to try these colors, I’ve been using watercolors.
thanks for the opportunity!!!
