Make a miniature mattress and pillow for your gnomes, fairies or your dollhouse friends.
Caleen is enjoying adding her special touches to her new home. She just finished making a new miniature mattress and pillow for their bed. It may look rather small, but yes, both her and Kristoff fit in it, making it perfect for night time snuggling! She also just finished a blanket that is toasty warm but looks as light and breezy as the coast! Watch for that pattern coming soon! Also, there will be a post on all the supplies Caleen has on her shelves and larder!

Miniature Mattress and Pillow
Measure the inside of the bed. Cut out 2 pieces of felt to this measurement.
Using 6 strands of floss and a blanket stitch, sew the 2 pieces together leaving an opening for stuffing.
Lightly stuff the mattress, then continue sewing the rest of the mattress closed.
If you would like to tuft the mattress, using a water erasable marker, place dots where you want to tie the mattress.
Going through both pieces of felt, make triple knots on each dot. (Triple tie knot: right over left, left over right, right over left.)
To make the pillow cut 2 pieces of felt 1 1/4″ x 1/2″ less than the width of the mattress. Using 6 strands of floss, sew the 2 pieces together leaving an opening for stuffing.
Stuff the pillow and finish sewing the pillow closed.
A comfy bed fit for your favorite gnome!
What a cozy bed Caleen has made! The mattress and pillow even match her dress. So cute! Can’t wait to see the blanket to go with the bed!
