The Spider’s Web

A spider spins its lacy web,
With patience and with care,
And though it is quite beautiful,
Insects must BEWARE!

For though the spider runs across,
The web with silent grace,
It leaves behind a sticky trap,
Without the slightest trace.

You must applaud the sly spider,
For its skill and for its speed,
To spin a web so capably,
Is quite a wondrous deed.
